DESK COPIES

COURSEPACKS

Most publishers will send instructors a complimentary desk copy of a book they have adopted for a course. Publishers do not allow re-sellers to order desk copies; the instructor needs to contact the publisher to request a desk copy.

If you need contact information for a publisher, please e-mail adoptions@vitalsource.com and he can provide you with that information.

A coursepack is material an instructor puts together, either by developing the material themselves, or by obtaining copyright permission to print segments of material. The adoption platform has a 3 step, easy to use process for developing a coursepack. Coursepacks can be helpful in reducing the cost to students.

OTHER INFORMATION

Adoptions for course materials must be submitted by the due date to ensure that the institution and our online provider can meet the requirements for providing information to the students when they begin registering for classes for the next term so they are aware of the cost of taking a certain course.

What is this federal law and how does it affect you?
